The ideal meal for your work lunch break is waiting for you when you arrive, doesn’t cost a fortune and, most importantly, actually tastes good. One option? Grocery store sushi. On a Tuesday morning, before the lunch rush cleared out the chilled shelves, metro intern Janelle Mella and sports intern Kamran Nia stopped by five grocery stores near downtown Raleigh — Publix, Harris Teeter, Fresh Market, Food Lion and Whole Foods — and picked up a tuna avocado roll at each one. Publix and Whole Foods battled it out for the top spot on these interns’ lists, while one particular store landed squarely in last place for both of them.
