Feds send over half a billion dollars to North Carolina for Raleigh-to-Richmond passenger rail

On Thursday, the feds released $550 million of $1.1 billion pledged to help the N.C. Department of Transportation begin building a new passenger rail line connecting Raleigh with Richmond, Virginia.
